Can you feel the Vrydag coming in the air tonight? Oh lord. Another week has come and gone and we’re inching ever closer to the end of 2017. You should prepare your wallet for Black Friday and also for buying some shampoo for your great aunt Gertrude who doesn’t know the concept of personal space at the dinner table. December will also be the time where we catch up on some of this year’s biggest games and there have been way too much. It seems like every week that the guys in the SA Gamer group lament the Game of the Year discussions that are going to take place. I’m sure we’ll just go with Rugby 18 though.
Things have slowed down quite a bit and we only got a couple of reviews for you this week. Garth was dodging lootboxes on the beach in Call of Duty: WWII, Charlie went into the snow in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds and Dawid welcomed the slam in NBA Jam. Dawid also looked at five hackermans in games, as well as forcing 3D onto Sonic and the Burning Question this week asked if you ever just gave up playing a game.
And now, to the line that everyone skips to when they open this article. Also, come on man, not cool. This week’s winner will be double shotgunning their way to destroying fascism and bringing freedom one explosion at a time. The winner of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is none other than the wonderful:
Congratulations to Henlo for winning this week’s prize! We’ll contact you soon to get your prize to you. I’ve said it way too many times this week, but have fun punching Nazis.
Thanks to Ster Kinekor for sponsoring this week’s prize!
You can feel the denouement of the year in full effect. We’re all settling down, the exams are starting to conclude and everyone is preparing the Christmas tree and the gammon. You might think it’s a little early, but time blazes past us and when you look again, you’re in a robe on the couch playing your tenth playthrough of Skyrim. Like Frank Sinatra once said, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. We’ll see you again next week and don’t be afraid to drop us a line. We’re always around.
Free Games Vrydag returns next week! Speaking of vacations, I’ve heard of a nice beach to go to. It’s called Normandy or something like that.
