Sony has been killing it if we have to be entirely honest with each other. The nice collection of high-quality exclusives this year has made them the darling of core gaming at the moment with Xbox, unfortunately, lagging behind. The Switch is still the standout this year, but the PS4 is healthy, it’s hungry and there is much more in store. Sony has held a bunch of conferences and given us some great announcements for future games, but they have one final burst before 2017 is done with the PlayStation Experience in Anaheim California. The previous PlayStation Experience was populated with huge announcements such as The Last of Us: Part II, Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite and Knack 2 making their debuts.
This year’s PlayStation Experience keynote will take place on the 8th of December and here’s what is being promised on the PlayStation blog:
Expect to listen in on candid discussions with some of PlayStation’s top developers, get updates on key titles, and be a part of some special announcements
Obviously, a “special announcement” can mean anything from a brand new IP to getting Knack VR, so don’t you get too excited. There are a lot of irons in the fire for Sony, such as the God of War reboot, Spider-Man, Detroit: Becoming Human and Ghost of Tsushima needs some more information. It would also be nice if we got some new surprise announcements that were left out of E3 and the Paris conference. Even if it’s just about existing titles and VR again, it’s still going to be exciting. We’ll be here with the coverage of the juicy stuff once everything drops, so be sure to check in if you don’t watch it live.
