With all the new game announcements and leaks, it’s a wonder we find anything surprising anymore. So with rumours going around about a potential 5th entry in the Devil May Cry series, the announcement of a re-release of the HD collection is a bit of a blindside. That being said, I’m more than happy to get a good version of Devil May Cry 3 on PC.
The Devil May Cry HD Collection will release on the 13th of March 2018 on the PS4, Xbox One and finally on the PC. It comes as a bit of a surprise that the collection is coming to the current gen consoles but I don’t think it could come at a better time. With all the excitement surrounding the potential announcement of a fifth game could build up excitement for the series.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Devil May Cry HD Collection it includes:
- Devil May Cry
- Devil May Cry 2
- Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening – Special Edition
All with 60fps gameplay.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is oddly missing from this collection, but it’s understandable considering it has been out on current-gen consoles for quite a while. Anybody who wants to play it has probably already bought it and the option still stays open for anyone who enjoys the HD collection. It could have been a nice show of faith by Capcom but they, of course, have their reasons for what they do.
