The studio that brought us the latest Gears of War title, The Coalition, is currently embarking on a new adventure with Storylab Productions in creating a brand-new Xbox IP.
The multi-media production house and an official Microsoft vendor announced their collaboration on a new intellectual property with The Coalition on their website. You’ll only be greeted with a “currently in production” message and no further details on the project at this point.
The two studios previously collaborated on Gears of War 4 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition which has proven to be a good working relationship formed between them. “As an official vendor to Microsoft’s ‘The Coalition’, StoryLab has supplied a wide range of services to this gaming giant including; Motion Capture Services, Casting Services, Stunts and Performers, Production Crew, Payroll Services, Production Consultation, etc.” Storylab writes on its projects page.
Gears of War 4 was released back on 11 October 2016 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. There’s also the suspicion that The Coalition is partnering with another studio and are currently working on a new version of Perfect Dark. Along with helping out PUBG Corp. on optimising the Xbox version of the battle royale shooter, seems The Coalition has a busy year ahead of them.
