Happy Vrydag all you lovely beings of matter! We hope the week has been nice and simple and you can finally kick your feet up and relax with some games during the weekend. If you’re working this weekend, go and punch your boss in the face. Don’t do that, that’s frowned upon, but just intensely glare at them for keeping you away from your happy place. It’s nearly the end of February and it’s coming up quicker than you think because math has caused the month to be shorter than usual. At least payday is closer, we’re all about the silver linings here.
We’ve been a bunch of busy bees as usual. For reviews this week, Garth rose and fell in Civilization VI: Rise and Fall as well as made a date with the witch on the Switch in the Bayonetta collection and he even found time for The Station. Our resident Wookiee really killed it this week. Paul punched some anime people in the easily spelt UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe: Late[st], Dawid was an extreme rad dude this week, reviewing Monster Energy Supercross as well as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater on the Dreamcast. Daniel took his cartography on the go in Typoman: Revised. Paul took a look at how six themes perfectly articulated their characters and the Burning Question this week asked if you accept the ending you got or watched the others.
And now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for. The person who will rip and tear through Hell while also maybe tearing something in the bathroom. The winner of DOOM on the Switch is none other than the beautiful:
Congratulations to Zubair for winning this fantastic prize! We’ll be in contact with you soon to get you slaying hellspawn in no time.
Thanks to Nintendo South Africa for sponsoring this hellish prize!
We received the fantastic news that Comic-Con is coming to South Africa earlier this week and it made me think about where we are at here in the sunny land of boerewors. Gaming and geek culture is taking over and we are getting some legitimacy from places that would otherwise never visit us. It shows you that the best time to be a gamer in South Africa is right now. I just wish the government can sort itself out so that the games can get cheaper. More gaming for less, please. At least we still have great sales. We’ll be back to it again next week for some more gaming goodness and rest assured, we have a few goodies up our sleeves. Let’s ride this train together, shall we?
Free Games Vrydag Switch week is still going on. Next week’s game made some wild waves in the industry when it released and it’s certainly something that you need to own if you have a Switch.
