Happy Vrydag everyone! It’s been a cold and wet one in many parts of the country this week and it’s been strange seeing people outside with hoodies and scarves on when just last week we were still walking around in shorts and slops. But the seasons, just like the times, they are achanging. We’re now well into autumn at the moment and at any point in time, leaves are going to be absolutely everywhere. With cold weather comes many, many game days under a blanket though, so I’m fully behind the sudden chill. The gaming world has been abuzz with many new developments and exciting news and we’re nearing the point of the year where everything new gets announced. It’s going to be busy, but we would not like it any other way.
This week was busy as it is. For reviews this week, Charlie drove some bikes in Isle of Man TT: Ride on the Edge as well as took the fight to the Nazis in Wolfenstein II: Freedom Chronicles – The Deeds of Captain Wilkins, and even went down to where the grass is pretty in Burnout Paradise Remastered, Garth drove some tractors and loved it in Pure Farming 2018, I fought with some small battle heroes in World of Warriors, Abigail tried to run a Martian colony in Surviving Mars and Dawid had some fun with Bart in The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants. Timoteo asked what is your personal top 5 games that shaped you as a gamer and Charlie also showed us 6 reasons why games make us stay up late.
And now, for the moment of truth. The winner of Yakuza Kiwami and who will be playing some pool in a dodgy basement or running a hostess club. It’s none other than:
Congratulations to Nic for winning this week’s prize! We’ll be in contact with you soon to get it to you and we hope you enjoy your escapades in Kamurocho.
Thanks to Ster Kinekor for sponsoring this week’s prize!
There’s something small I forgot in the first paragraph. All the public holidays that are going to happen! It’s going to be vacation time for so many of us and games will most definitely be played. We’ve already had a midweek little break on Wednesday and more than likely a lot of you have put in leave for a super long weekend. It’s always nice when a string of holidays pop up and you can just stay at home and do whatever you like. Probably play games, because that’s surely what I’m going to do.
