Let’s not beat around the bush, the Switch is nowhere near as powerful as the standard PS4 or Xbox One. This has been apparent with releases like DOOM where the little console that could has a tough time keeping up with the frame rate when things get a little busy on-screen. Either way, it’s still impressive that they managed to get DOOM running on the Switch and it’s not like any other console allows you to take that experience on-the-go. Outlast is the next series to surprise us all, especially Outlast 2.
Outlast 2 has just launched on the Nintendo Switch and Direct Feed Games decided to do a comparison video between the Switch and Xbox one version. Not only is the frame rate on par, but from a visual perspective, it’s at times hard to see any difference between the two versions. Of course, there is slightly better lighting on the Xbox One version of the game, but it’s not a big glaring difference.
