Agony’s story trailer is full of infanticide, nudity and vagina-faced demons

When we first saw Agony it looked like a moody, terrifying descent into hell. What happens when a game is all about you being trapped in hell and trying to find a way out? A game about dark corridors made of human limbs, demonic possession and more await in a grisly land of fire, flesh and fear.

The story trailer for the game continues the trend of horrible demons, mounds of flesh and tortured souls but (and maybe I just forgot about it since) there are vaginas everywhere. Everywhere. Nude succubi cavort and torture, a demon with a vagina for a head tries to kill you and even the game’s logo looks like a vagina with spikes. I get that in hell things are lusty and about base desires and sins and the whole lot, but the story trailer took this game from my initial feelings of: “scary but looks worth playing” to “people are going to judge you for having this in your game library”.

Oh and that is before people use babies as cement when building a wall, or someone tosses a baby to a massive beast lurking just off the level, a gaping maw snatching up a tasty snack. So far the shock value is high, pity the voice acting doesn’t deliver as well as the visuals.

The game has been toned down for release, but PC players will be able to download a patch to remove the censorship. Like I said… judged. Agony releases on May 29 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Don’t watch the trailer at work, obviously. Or if you hate blood.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
