Local Rush event has moved its venue to Pretoria

With eSports on the up and up in our country we have seen two annual events help drive this sport locally. One such event is Rush from the organisers who brings you rAge every year. We have known for a while now that Rush was going to take place in just over a month from now, but what we were not aware of was the change of venue. It has now officially moved past the boerewors curtain to Pretoria.

This news has reached us via the below press release:

A Rush of esports is set to take place at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria from 29 June to 01 July 2018. The Rush esports event will host a range of competitive tournaments for casual gamers and esports fans to watch or participate in, as well as give visitors the opportunity to experience the thrilling world of competitive gaming live.

Vodacom 4U has been acquired as a sponsor and you can expect the below events to take place:

  • Fortnite 1 vs. 1 on mobile
  • FIFA 18 1 vs. 1 on PS4
  • CS:GO 5 vs. 5 on PC

Tickets for the event goes on sale this coming Friday from Computicket. A day pass will set you back R60, while a full weekend pass will cost you R100. Should you be interested in registering for any of the tournaments you can enter your details this coming Friday too, by heading here.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
