Dead or Alive 6’s first public playable build will be appearing at the fighting game tournament Evo 2018. Koei Tecmo announced that the game will be in attendance with a mini-tournament.
Evo 2018 takes place August 3-4 in Las Vegas and Team Ninja’s next fighting title will show off its moves, new features and more. To make it even more exciting for those attending, Yohei Shimbori, the game’s director and producer, will be attending Evo 2018.
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will also have a championship on the weekend, with a $6,000 prize pool for those duking it out in the smooth, technical and sometimes awkward to play jiggly fighter.
Speaking of jiggles, Dead or Alive 6 is promising to ease off on the sex appeal, probably in hopes that more people take the game seriously and don’t raise their eyebrows at you when you mention liking the game because it is a pretty good fighter. “Oh sure, you like it for the fighting.” In Dead or Alive 6 fighters will get covered in blood, dirt and sweat as fights progress, which is a step up from just being covered in so much sweat that you might think you were attending a wet T-shirt competition.
