When No Man’s Sky launched, the game didn’t live up to what many people thought it would be. Which makes sense, as much of what No Man’s Sky could be ended up hurting what it actually was. Its announcement made it appear to be the near-perfect game for those who grew up playing Privateer or Freelancer, people who wanted to get lost forever in a sprawling universe. Many people played the game, realised it didn’t live up to the image in their mind and left.
Since launch, Hello Games has spent a lot of time making changes and adding content and features and with the game heading to Xbox One on July 24, they are inviting players back to see if things are more desirable a second time around. It also stands as a good showcase of what to expect for those playing for the very first time.
The Xbox One version will launch at the same time the NEXT update goes live, which finally brings that promised multiplayer support into the game.
I am one of those players that wanted more from No Man’s Sky and after watching this, my desire to go back and give it another go has increased. Maybe this time the stars will keep me.
