Tuesday nights are a special occasion for most of our readers here on the site who own a Nintendo Switch. We spend hours covering each other in ink and ruining friendships with blue shells. Well, it’s going to get better (not the ruining friendships part, I hope). Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 will receive continued support and free content updates later this year ensuring that we, the players, are being kept entertained for some time to come.
Nintendo’s head of software development, Shinya Takahashi, answered some questions on popular titles for the Switch including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (which received Nintendo Labo support recently) and Splatoon 2. In the video posted on Nintendo North America’s Twitter account, Takahashi states that both titles will be getting further updates later this year.

Whether it’s more DLC and expansions for Splatoon 2, like the Octo Expansion, or new tracks and characters for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is unconfirmed, but we can be assured of continued content updates for these two stellar titles throughout the year. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 are both available now for Nintendo Switch.
