South Park: The Stick of Truth is heading to the Switch

You might be a little confused right now, because The Stick of Truth launched way back in 2014 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Logic would tell you that the game that leads up to The Fractured But Whole would release ahead of it on any platform, but that just wasn’t the case. Earlier this year the sequel launched on the Switch, which we loved, and now Ubisoft has announced that the game that originally preceded it is heading to the console in September. Bit of backwards thinking, but we’re just happy Nintendo players can finally enjoy both games.

This bit of news comes from Ubisoft’s Q1 financials for the fiscal year ending March 31 2019. Here is the official press release:

From the perilous battlefields of the fourth-grade playground, a young hero will rise, destined to be South Park’s savior. From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes an epic quest to become… cool. Introducing South Park™: The Stick of Truth™.

For a thousand years, the battle has been waged. The sole reason humans and elves are locked in a neverending war: The Stick of Truth.
