A piece of JRPG history is about to be shared with a lot of people. From those who played Grandia and Grandia II in 1997 and 2000, to those new to the franchise, get ready for Grandia 1 and II in HD, remastered for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
Grandia is still spoken of fondly for its gorgeous sprites and its combat system, which rewarded players with good timing by allowing your to cancel enemy attacks if you hit them while their move was being prepared. Your characters also levelled their proficiency with spells and weapons, making that grind worth it with stat gains to strengthen the party.
Grandia I and Grandia II HD Remaster are both heading to #NintendoSwitch.
For PC fans, Grandia I HD Remaster will be joining our existing library of #Steam releases. Stay tuned for more details and check out the original announcement @IGN https://t.co/DRef6CYdts

Personally, I missed out on the Grandia franchise and it looks like it is time to correct that. GungHo Online said that both remasters will be available this year in winter, meaning holiday plans have already been made.
