It’s been a long time coming, but we finally have a release date for one of the most popular fighting game series money can buy, Dead or Alive 6. Expect the game on shelves and digital stores on 15 February 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Koei Tecmo spared little time with the pre-order details. PS4 players will receive Nyotengu as a free character, as well as a PS4 theme, while Xbox owners will also get access to Nyotengu, but instead of a theme, they’ll receive another costume for Ryu Hayabusa. It makes good logical sense as the Ninja Gaiden series has a long-running partnership with the Xbox brand. Buy it on PC and you’ll get (you guessed it!) Nyotengu along with a costume for Kasumi. Should you pre-order the game digitally before March on console, you’ll also gain access to that Kasumi outfit.
But wait, there is more if you order now…
Should you pick up the Digital Deluxe version it’ll come with 25 additional outfits for various characters in the game, as well as Kasumi clone Phase 4 as an additional character. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! You’ll also get three additional songs to download from the soundtrack. They also released a new trailer showing off some moments in the story mode, which should please long-standing fans. What stands out the most is just how interactive the stages will be this time round – a Dead or Alive trademark.
If Dead or Alive 5 was anything to go by it’s probably best to wait a good number of years before picking this up as there will several releases before it’s the actual ‘last round’.
