I think a whole lot of you would agree when I say Spyro and Crash Bandicoot pretty much encapsulates a large portion of your childhood. Sure, as you grew up there were other games that came out the same time that were a lot of fun but to some of us, these games really stuck with us. And now that they’re being re-released we’ll finally get to experience these games again, something I thought would never happen.
Now something else is potentially happening that I also didn’t think about: Activision might be rolling out a release of both games in one bundle. Kind of like how Kingdom Hearts had their ReMixes, but with two completely different games. Which is pretty neat!
This news comes from various American retail sites listing the game open for pre-order. The biggest store to list it online, and the source for the case art, was Walmart. While it isn’t official yet, the idea of this is fantastic. I haven’t picked up Crash yet because I’m not really looking forward to replacing something I break out of frustration, but this bundle might be able to twist my arm.
The bundle comes with all three remastered Crash and Spyro games for a rather unexpected price. I do think this might change if it becomes official, but Walmart was listing it for $60 MSRP which just sounds n’sane! That would mean you’d be grabbing each individual game for $10 each when the current price for just the base trilogies is $40.
We’ll have to see if Activision comes out and confirms this bundle, but until then you can look forward to Spyro’s Reignited Trilogy to release on the PS4 and XBO on the 13th of November.
