PUBG to parachute onto PS4 on 7 December

There were some rumours floating around over the last week or so, but it has finally been confirmed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the game that effectively started the whole Battle Royale craze, will be heading to the PlayStation 4 on 7 December.

The announcement was made via the PlayStation Blog last night along with a few other announcements regarding pre-order bonuses and Sony exclusive content. PUBG will feature everything available on all other platforms including all major features like custom matches, ranked system, event mode, trophies, as well as all the maps. It will also feature a couple of different editions:

  • Disc Edition
    • Includes base game
  • Looter’s Digital Edition
    • Includes base game
  • Survivor’s Digital Edition
    • Includes base game
    • Vikendi Event Pass
    • 2,300 G-Coin Pack
    • 20,000 BP
  • Champion’s Digital Edition
    • Includes base game
    • Vikendi Event Pass
    • 6,000 G-Coin Pack
    • 20,000 BP

To top it all off, the PlayStation 4 release will also include pre-order bonuses that are exclusive to the platform such a Nathan Drake Uncharted themed skin, and Ellie’s backpack from The Last of Us:

PlayStation owners have wanted PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds for a while now and their wish is finally answered. It might not be the most popular Battle Royale game out there at the moment, but it is still relevant, and there’s a lot of people still playing it. It is a sure bet that people will be chasing Chicken Dinners on PS4 come December 7th.
