Square Enix just dropped a new Left Alive trailer today titled “The Survivors”, one of the latest additions to the Front Mission universe seemingly influenced by the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The title is a brand new survival action shooter that features multiple protagonists, survivors of the devastating invasion on Novo Slava, telling a human story of survival from various perspectives.
The Left Alive universe was created by industry veterans Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa from Kojima Productions (character designer, Metal Gear series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X). In the video you get introduced to the various characters you’ll get to play as; Mikhail Alexandrovich Schwarov, Olga Sergeevna Kalinina, and Leonid Fedorovich Ostermann. We get to see a small part of their involvement in the universe along with traditional third-person shooter action combined with mech combat gameplay showcasing both stealth and bullet mayhem scenarios, with a glimpse at some of the enemies each character will face in their part of the story.
Square Enix’s Left Alive is set to release on 5 March 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
