GRID Autosport speeds its way to the Switch in 2019

If there is one genre that’s been getting a raw deal on the Switch, other than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it’s the racing genre. There are many arcade racers on the console, but there’s only one game trying to be a more simulation-like title and that’s Gear.Club Unlimited and unfortunately it’s not all that great (that’s what happens when you port a mobile game to consoles). Codemasters is finally here to save the day and introduce the first decent simulation racer, GRID Autosport.

Considering that the game first appeared on PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2014, this is going to be quite an easy port to the Switch. Unlike those versions you’ll be able to take this with you wherever you might be. Let’s hope that the port, which is being handled by Feral Interactive, does the series justice and isn’t another mobile port. We have trust in Codemasters to finally bring a decent racing game to a Nintendo platform. It’s about time.

Get your first glimpse of it below, before it releases at an unannounced date in 2019.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
