The closer we got to The Game Awards this year, the more ruthless the rumours became. In the early hours of this morning, most of those rumours met a fate most would expect – it was nothing more than rumours. However, the Crash Team Racing rumour was right on the money and fans of the original PS1 kart racer will be pleased to hear that the kart classic is the next game being remade.
In the below video you’ll see Crash Bandicoot and the various characters in the Crash universe receiving a huge facelift. As with Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, this isn’t just a mere remaster – it’s a complete remake of the original game. What’s more is that it’ll be launching on 21 June 2019 for PS4, Switch and Xbox One. Get ready for a whole lot of fun. Let’s hope they keep the game as fun as it originally was.
Here are the official details we know so far:
- Start your engines with the original game modes, characters, tracks, power-ups, weapons and controls.
- Power slide to glory in additional karts and tracks from beyond the original game.
- Race online with friends and Crash the competition with online leaderboards.
