Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order teams up exclusively on the Switch

Talk about a surprise moment. Very early on in the show Geoff Keighley, the creator and host of The Game Awards, mentioned that no one was going to expect the forthcoming trailer announcement and he was quite right. No one imagined that we would ever see the Ultimate Alliance franchise returning, but it’s real and it’s exclusive to the Switch.

The Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers and the X-Men will be returning to this action RPG series after taking a break for a decade. We’re expecting that up to four players will once again be able to combine forces to take on the might of Thanos and all the evil he can throw your way. The bit of footage below looks action-packed and we like the art style. So why is it a Switch exclusive? Well, Nintendo, as they did with Bayonetta, is funding it by publishing the game, while Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are the developers.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will bring together familiar heroes and villains across the Marvel Universe to battle for the Infinity Gauntlet. “This unprecedented team of characters must use their unique superpowers to defeat the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order.”

Expect this game exclusively on the Switch in 2019.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
