“It’sa Me… Mario!” – the famous line from our favourite video-game plumber, Mario, is, as you probably know by now, voiced by Charles Martinet. Martinet has been providing Mario’s voice for some time now. According to the Anime News Network, his first job voicing Mario was back in 1992 in Mario Teaches Typing. Now, some 26 years later, Martinet has hit a pretty impressive milestone. As posted by Martinet on his official Twitter account Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was his 100th outing voicing the damsel-in-distress-saving overall, wearing plumber. And the Guinness Book of World Records officially awarded Martinet earlier this month “for most video game voiceover performances as the same character“.
With Craig receiving my record certificate @GWR for most video game voiceover performances as the same character – 100, as Mario – on 7 December 2018 upon the release of #SuperSmashBrosUltimate #woohoo! Many thanks to #Nintendo and #GWR pic.twitter.com/ICfKlK9hO1

It’s crazy to think that there have been 100 video games starring Mario over that time period, let alone that they’ve all been voiced by the same man. That being said, he’s done such a good job over the years – we can’t imagine anyone else as Mario.
