Finally, now you can have a bit of a blast from the past in your hands wherever you feel like gaming! Some of you might be thinking “it’s not that old”, but Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is, in fact, 6-ish years old. That’s right, it’s a first grader. And now you’ll be able to relive it in full 2013, PS3 graphics glory!
If you were hoping for some cool applications of the motion controls the Switch has to offer like it does in Skyrim, then you might be disappointed to know that it doesn’t sound like that’s happening. But what Dark Arisen will offer is the ability to use the Pawn system, which will allow you to share abilities between Nintendo accounts without an online membership.
This is the first time in years that Dragon’s Dogma has had any real news to speak of, so perhaps there is hope for a sequel sometime in the future. Or maybe they just wanted to squeeze a little more money out of the franchise before putting it to bed. Either way, Dark Arisen will launch on the Nintendo Switch on the 23rd of April for a mere $30.
