PS3 and PS Vita games go out with a bang with PS Plus in February

As Sony revealed last year, from March 2019 PS3 and PS Vita games will be discontinued on the PlayStation Plus service. You can only expect PS4 games to make a showing in the service in the coming months. We’re not sure if there will be more PS4 games to make up for the loss or whether they’ll just improve the games on offer (like this month). What we do know is that they dropped another little surprise for PS Plus members. Save file cloud storage has been increased from 10Gb to 100Gb. We’ll take it.

Now, let’s look at the PS Plus games for February, along with the last games on offer for your PS3 and PS Vita:

For Honor (PS4)

Carve a path of destruction through an intense, believable battlefield in For Honor.

UNIQUE WARRIORS TO MASTER
Choose your warrior amongst a variety of bold Knights, brutal Vikings and deadly Samurai, each with their own weapon set and play style.

MEMORABLE STORY MODE
Storm castles and fortresses in massive battles and confront deadly bosses in intense duels to ensure the survival of your people against a mysterious deadly foe.

CONQUER FOES ALONE OR WITH FRIENDS
For Honor offers an engaging single-player story mode and thrilling multiplayer.

INNOVATIVE ART OF BATTLE CONTROL SYSTEM
Wield the weight of your weapon and feel the power of every strike through this system, putting you in total control.

YOUR WARRIOR, YOUR COLORS
Customize each facet of your warrior, including your chest, shoulders, and helmet.

Hitman (PS4)

Experiment and have fun in the ultimate playground as Agent 47 to become the master assassin. Travel around the globe to exotic locations and eliminate your targets with everything from a katana or a sniper rifle to an exploding golf ball or some expired spaghetti sauce.

Divekick (PS3, PS Vita)

Divekick is the world’s first‐ever twobutton fighting game! It made a splash with the press and fighting game community for not using a stick, yet still retaining the strategic gameplay and spacing techniques used by professional fighting game players.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a battle-scarred future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries. This devastated world is seen through the battle-weary eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East, South America and Eastern Europe. As such, the epic end to Snake’s story offers ground-breaking combat elements, a refined control system that offers unprecedented control over the aged hero, and the tying up of key plot lines and loose ends.

Gunhouse (PS4, PS Vita)

Load your guns! Rain death from above! Protect your valuable orphans! Defeat giant, improbable bosses! Gunhouse is part puzzle, part active tower defense, as you make big combos to launch a hail of bullets and special attacks at the alien invaders who would like nothing better than to consume your delicious orphan friends. With infinite levels, upgradeable weapons, a unique art style, and music by Fez composer Disasterpeace, Gunhouse from Necrosoft Games is a cute, endless game that will chill you out and rile you up!

Rogue Aces (PS4, PS Vita)

It’s time to join the Rogue Aces and liberate the islands from The Baron and his dreaded pilots. Will you be able to face the fiercest of foes with only one life and three planes?
Take down waves of dastardly enemies in this endlessly emergent air combat rogue-like where nothing is the same twice. With a multitude of game modes to discover, no loading screens to stutter the action and a whole lot of landscape to take back, jump in the cockpit and take back what’s yours!

Here is the official PlayStation Plus trailer:

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
