Howdy one and all to the end of the week! I don’t know about you, but this little week in February felt like it has been going on forever. Well, at least we have Valentine’s Day to look forward to. I’m excited to hug my pillow and longingly look out the window while I write poetry about how love isn’t real. You’re free to join me if you wish. Lots of space by the window.
Weekly wrap up!
It was quite an eventful week here in the SAG mines. I usually don’t like to throw my own stuff in here, but you guys seemed to like my ramblings a lot, so here you go. I had the controversial opinion that there are just too many dang games and I also did a feature on five ways to annoy a gamer. Read them at your peril.
We also had Apex Legends drop this week out of nowhere. There have been some launch day woes, but not nearly enough as some other battle royale games out there and it seems that the gaming community is latching on to this surprise contended in the battle royale space. We’ll have to see the game’s long term performance, but so far it’s looking pretty good.
We also had a couple of reviews. Garth finally reviewed Kingdom Hearts 3 which was surely a long time coming and Tim mucked about with Bowser in Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story on the 3DS of all places.
Comment of the week!
This week we’ve got a wholesome comment coming to us from our old buddy MonsterCheddar on the Burning Question that asked which era of gaming was the best.
This is so cool! I’ve always had the belief that gaming can be beneficial to you when you’re going through bad times. It has helped me deal with my various

What’s happening this weekend?
If you’re ever wondering what the SA Gamer crew does on weekends, don’t wonder anymore! Here’s a little breakdown of how we’ll be spending our weekends:
Dawid: The record is about to repeat itself – I’ll be watching lots of rugby and plant bullets in the skulls of enemies in Wildlands. I’ll also likely do some
Garth: This weekend I will be doing my best to help people in Washington, D.C. in the Division 2 Private Beta.
Charlie: Playing games are for those who have time to do so. I’m writing
Ash: I’ll give Apex Legends a proper run through and do a review next week. Archwing weapons are now available for use in Fortuna to take down those massive mechanical aracnids, so that will also be fun. [Big guns and big wins. The title of my autobiography.]
Tim: Bit of a slow weekend ahead, however, I did manage to borrow my cousin’s old Mega Drive 2 system and thought I might make a trip down memory lane and tackle some Disney classics (Aladdin and The Lion King) and remember just how crazy the difficult spikes were. [Fun fact, one of my first consoles was a Mega Drive. I played Comix Zone and Sonic until their cartridges melted and I also THREW AWAY THE CONSOLE LIKE AN IDIOT.]
Marko: I haven’t specifically planned my weekend yet, but I’m positive I’ll find something to play among the horde of games I have. I’ve been on a shooter kick lately and I think I’ll give Call of Duty Infinite Warfare a bash. See if it deserved all that hate from Battlefield fans and people who have played way too many Call of Duty games. Also, I’m still keeping strong with my Beat Saber workout routine and I’m kind of addicted to cutting up boxes now.
With that, the first week of February is done. Remember, the month isn’t as long as you think it is considering the whole, you know, Earth rotational thing that happens every 4 years. So let us make the most of it. Who needs extra days in the month to be productive? I certainly do.
Free Games Vrydag returns next week! There might be an exodus of people who don’t win, but we’re willing to take that chance.
