Surviving Mars is getting cross-platform mod support

If you happened to discover the wonderful world of looking after colonists in Surviving Mars on console, Paradox Interactive has some good news for Xbox One fans of the game. If you play on Xbox One, you will be able to get in on the modding side of the game, loading up some new things to make like easier or more fun.

Using the Paradox Mods platform, modders can upload their work to the website, while players can access an in-game mod browser. This isn’t anything new for the PC crowd, but being separate from the Steam Workshop means a few mods will need to be uploaded to the Paradox Mods platform for Xbox One players.

So Xbox One players will get mods, and maybe some new mods will add some spice and variety for PC players.

“Modding has been, and remains an important part of the Paradox community. As we have diversified the way we distribute our games, we want to make sure all our players can take part in the creation process.”

If nothing else, it means keyboard and mouse support for the game on Xbox One.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
