The Outer Worlds new gameplay footage premiered at Pax East

Obsidians much anticipated RPG, The Outer Worlds, premiered all new gameplay footage at Pax East recently. The video focuses on the game’s combat system and a look at the city of the elite named Byzantium.

The scene opens with the protagonist partaking it what appears to be a propaganda film shoot, accompanied by written dialogue as the voice over has presumably not been finalised as yet.

One of the weapons demonstrated in the video is an illuminated baton that slows down enemies gradually bringing them to a stop. This also menacingly distorts the enemies’ faces along with enlarging or shrinking heads. Obsidian noted that this is the result of a bug discovered during development and opted to keep it in the game due to its hilarity.
