Set your clock for the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order reveal this weekend

Woah! Calm down. Yes, we know the track record with EA and Star Wars games are not that great. But, before we judge the next outing it’s probably a good thing we remind you that this new game will come from the makers of the recently-released and loved Apex Legends. Respawn Entertainment also brought us the incredible Titanfall series and has so far superseded expectations from a critical point of view. Come this weekend they’ll get a chance to prove it once more.

On Saturday 1.30 pm CDT (8.30 pm SA time), EA will finally show off the next outing in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. They’ve not confirmed where the reveal can be watched just yet, but we assume that their official YouTube account would be a good bet. What we know so far is that it’ll be a third-person action adventure single-player game that’s rumoured to be launching at the end of this year. Unreal Engine 4 is being used for development and it’ll come with some big names attached to the project. Stig Asmussen (God of War 3 director), Chris Avellone (KotOR2, Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas) wrote the scripts and story for the game and Jason de Heras is the Lead Combat Designer (Senior Combat Designer on God of War 3 and Ascension).

So, before we lose our minds and place judgement, let’s see what this team can deliver. Here is their official tweet announcing the official reveal date:

It’s expected to be a PC, PS4 and Xbox One bound title.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
