It’s been almost a year since the release of the critically acclaimed God of War and everyone is celebrating its anniversary. One of the people obviously getting in on the fun is Cory Barlog, the Creative Director of the game who almost inadvertently teased DLC or more content for the game.
This happened on a quoted retweet of Push Square reporting on the Celebration Theme, Avatars and thank you video by Santa Monica studio, where he simply said, “That’s not all…” with a sunglasses emoji:
He quickly realised the potential blunder and replied to the tweet stating that there’s no DLC coming before anyone gets the wrong idea. He then went on to engage with people on the social media platform, and even joking about having Kratos in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which will probably never happen.
Barlog has in the past stated that the story of God of War is as it is and that while they did toy with the idea of DLC, they ultimately decided against it. It’s sometimes for the better, and while we always want more content for the games we love, it’s good to know that we still get complete games on release day.
