Tekken World Tour event Cape Town Showdown registration now open

After an unfortunate delay, the registrations for the Cape Town leg of the 2019 Tekken World Tour are open. Players looking to compete in Africa’s first Tekken World Tour event can head on over to smash.gg/cts7 now and get themselves in on the action before it’s too late.

It’s going to be some intense competition as an event like this has been a long time coming for the scene and many are ready to show their stuff on an international stage. To ensure you know what’s going down, please check out the details below:

  • Player Cap: 180
  • Prize: $1000

    • Competitors:
      • $5 Early Registration (28 April – 31 May)
      • $10 Normal Registration (1 June – 31 July)
      • $20 Late Registration (1 August – 31 August)
      • $30 Last Chance Registration (1 September – 7 September)
      • With the player cap and early registration, please ensure you get in there early. Not only does it mean a discount, but you’ll also help the organisers effectively plan to bring you the best experience possible.
    • Spectators:
      • $1 for a 1-day pass
      • $1.50 for a 2-day pass
  • Accommodation:
    • The following rates have been secured with Radisson RED for this event:
      • Single occupancy with breakfast – $140
      • Double occupancy with breakfast – $150
    • All bookings need to be made with keenan.strauss@radissonred.com and must mention that you are attending the Tekken World Tour event, Cape Town Showdown in order to make use of these rates.
  • Notes:
    • Please ensure you have your own PlayStation 4 compatible controller for this event. That means having your own controller, converter and/or headset should you require.
    • Minors ( anyone under the age of 17 in South Africa) will require permission from a parent/guardian to play in this event and will need to be accompanied by them during the event.
    • The player cap is now 180 players, so make sure you register early.
