A Plague Tale: Innocence is a beautifully morbid looking experience

We’ll admit, this game just popped out of nowhere, but if its trailer is to be believed, this is a game you should maybe pay attention to. A Plague Tale: Innocence is a game set in the medieval times following two characters, Amicia de Rune and her young little brother Hugo as they try to survive in a war-torn landscape full of rampant death and rats that want to eat them. Watch the trailer here:

As you can see, the game is gorgeous. Like, way more gorgeous than it has any right to be. It rivals some of our top visual experiences out there and the dreadful conditions that these two young people need to traipse through is certainly going to spark some interesting stories. The gameplay looks like it will depend a lot on being crafty or being sneaky since these two can’t just take up arms and defend themselves.

It’s an interesting game that just sort of popped into existence, but the trailer has made me very curious and I’m looking forward to the game’s release. The game is coming out next week on the 14th of May and it’s coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.

I am way too tall, played way too many games and I love to write about what we love about games. In the end, I'm just being #Thabolicious
