Capcom seems to be hellbent on bringing all their older classics to the Nintendo Switch. First we saw the once exclusive Onimusha launching on Nintendo’s hybrid and then just about all the older Resident Evil games (Resident Evil, 0, 4, Revelations and the sequel of it) being announced for Nintendo’s console. Now it’s time for the demon hunter to appear on the Switch for the first time.
This news comes via the official Devil May Cry Twitter account:
There is something in particular that has fans losing their minds. The current man in charge of the DMC series, Hideaki Itsuno, said that he won’t allow Dante to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, unless the classic game becomes a Switch title. Well, it’s now going to be a Switch title and people are thinking that Dante could be the next classic character to appear in a list of four unknown DLC fighters. With Nintendo and Capcom’s history just about anything is possible.
Devil May Cry will launch in Summer (our Winter) on the Switch. An exact date is yet to be confirmed.
