Dive into Sea of Solitude on July 5

Sea of Solitude has a release date, and unless there are any complications, it will release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 5. Developed by Jo-Mei Games, this is a game about becoming a monster and dealing with those who have become monsters themselves, brought low by loneliness and depression.

Sea of Solitude already looked exciting back in 2015 and in the time since the development team has really brought out the best from the various monsters and Kay. Just watching them move, those ominous red eyes and black feathers really stand out in a world with mostly untextured buildings.

Hopefully, the confrontation with these monsters becomes a journey of helping others and self-discovery, rather than the systematic murder of proud beasts like what we saw in Shadow of the Colossus. Guess we will have to wait and find out.

Here is last year’s teaser for Sea of Solitude, which really grabbed attention with its art-style, those large monsters and the changing water levels.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
