Last year, we saw the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, an expansion that came a year after the release of the game. It was pretty well received, as it set a lot of the things people complained about for Destiny 2 right.
One of the things that came with Forsaken, was the Annual Pass, which included content for the three seasons attached to the expansion. The final season, Season of Opulence kicks off next week and will include a new raid, as well as a new six-player match made activity called the Menagerie.
There’s a lot of added content to go with it of course, with more loot, some balancing changes and so on, but the real question many Guardians really have is what happens afterwards. Well, Bungie hasn’t really told us, but they did indicate that we can expect some news and information next week, 6 June.
It will be interesting to see what Bungie has in store for us since this will be the first content they produce without the influence of Activision. Rumours of Destiny 3 has been seen in the wild as well, but that could still be a way off, even probably only on the next console generation. So Destiny 2 will still be around for at least another year or so.
