My Friend Pedro crashes through the window with a release date

My Friend Pedro, a game about bullet ballet, somersaults and… bananas now has a release date. The wait isn’t even that long, with it launching on June 20.

The game was first shown last year at Devolver Digital’s E3 not-a-conference, showing a great mix of Hotline Miami and The Matrix, with bullet time galore as you jump through windows, climbing around a space to get the perfect drop on enemies.

Deadtoast’s game is something that is best seen in action and Devolver says there will be an automated gif generator so that you can show off your best slow-motion wall-runs, kickflips, window breaches, split-aims and more. Just like how you might show off a perfect run in Tony Hawk or Ollie Ollie, My Friend Pedro just screams sharable bytes. And no, I am not talking about the sentient banana. I wouldn’t want my mouth anywhere (or in fact my whole body) near that strange overseer.

My Friend Pedro launches on June 20 on PC and Switch.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
