Thanks to Keanu Reeves, a Cyberpunk 2077 movie is a ‘possibility’

It’s hard not to love ‘the one’ we call Keanu Reeves. Since his showing at the Xbox E3 conference as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, the internet has fallen in love with him all over again. Can you blame them and us? He’s just so real. Having a big star like him in your game is a genius idea and the creator thinks it could lead to a Hollywood movie.

Mike Pondsmith is hoping that Hollywood will take note of their work in Cyberpunk 2077 and that Keanu Reeves has made it a possibility. Here is what he had to say to VGC in an interview when asked if there’s a chance that the franchise might become a big deal in Hollywood:

I can’t really say anything on [movie rights]. But with Keanu Reeves being tied up in things, it’s become much more of a possibility.

Blade Runner 2049 was proof that we can do with more cyberpunk goodness in our life. However, we wouldn’t mind another Netflix series if we’re being honest. Either way, we hope someone takes note of this franchise.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
