Capcom asks Resident Evil fans to test a new game for them

With the massive success that was the last two Resident Evil games, it would be madness to even think that Capcom isn’t in the process of making the next game in the series. And this is all but confirmed with the developer asking select Japanese fans to do some playtesting for them on an upcoming game.

According to the dedicated Resident Evil fan website, Biohaze, Capcom is now accepting applications from the Japanese based Resident Evil Ambassador program to do playtests for an upcoming, unnamed game. The playtests are scheduled to start as early as September according to the site.

Fans have been hoping for some news on a possible remake of Resident Evil 3, which is entirely possible when you consider how well the recent remake of Resident Evil 2 was received. Capcom also have the incredible RE Engine to work with, and there’s no doubt that they will be squeezing everything out of it for the foreseeable future.
