We all know that name ‘Cliffy B’ because of one game series – Gears of War. His name shot to fame in the last generation when the cover-based shooter came out of nowhere to become one of the most beloved IPs on the Xbox platform. Later this year we’ll see the fifth main entry into the series (excluding Judgment of course). But since the arrival of Gear of War 4, Cliffy B played no part. He created a new studio that ultimately went bust and now he’s thinking of returning.
Law Breakers and Radical Heights are both games that are now long forgotten and Boss Key Productions ultimately crashed under the pressure. He vowed to leave game development for good, but now he’s hinted at possibly returning and that it won’t be a battle royale game. We guess he’s burnt his fingers and quite likely hates the genre for what it did to the team he originally created. Here is what he had to say on Twitter:
