Magic: The Gathering Arena officially releases this month

Magic: The Gathering Arena’s beta is almost over, with the game planning to release on September 26. This coincides with the release of the Throne of Eldraine card set, which brings a bunch of fairy tales and legends together for an all-new adventure.

A new event is currently live in MTGA, a Brawl that lets you play some of the Throne of Eldraine cards and earn cards for when the set releases. The Brawl format is a 1v1 Singleton matchup, where each player gets one Legendary creature or Planeswalker and 59 Standard cards.

Anyone who played in the Beta before release will get a Fblthp avatar and card back when the game launches.

Throne of Eldraine combines “Grimms’ Fairy Tales and Arthurian legends collide for high fantasy and incredible adventure” so get ready for some really out there cards and stories, like this cinematic about gingerbread people that come to life only to see Garruk smash through the door and kill several soldiers while the tiny living snacks try their best to avoid death by falling objects and hot cooking pots.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
