SNES games are finally heading to the Switch… tomorrow

It’s only taken Nintendo a year – lighting speed in Nintendo time – to finally add SNES games to their online membership. The good news is that you don’t have to wait all that long for a bunch of SNES games. It’ll be made available tomorrow, in time for the weekend.

Here are all the games (20 in total) that’ll be added for you to play on day one:

An amazing list to start with and even some titles that weren’t added to the SNES Mini line-up. As with the NES games, you’ll be able to play the multiplayer games offline or online (if you can get that working locally) and the rewind function will be available to use from the start.

More games will be added to the line-up. We’re expecting that we’ll perhaps receive a few NES and SNES games every month in the future, though that’s yet to be confirmed. If you would like to keep it legit then you’ll be able to order the SNES replica controller as a Nintendo Switch Online member. Unlike the NES controllers, this will be charged like a Pro Controller and will not be a Joy-Con.

Married to a gamer and she kicks my ass at most shooters. If the game is enjoyable I'll play it, no matter the format.
