All we really have in terms of media coverage for The Last of Us Part II is the two trailers that have been shown at Sony’s E3 showcases. Other than that, the game has remained a huge mystery and all we really could do was speculate. It’s assumed that Sony and Naughty Dog will announce the release date of the game soon or at least some new info considering just how quiet both entities have been.
A media event will be held for the game in Los Angeles on the 24th of September, according to a tweet by Geoff Keighley:
Since it’s only media, this can potentially be a lot of things. It might just be a new trailer, some of the press might get some hands-on time with the game or, what everyone’s hoping for, a release date. The game hasn’t been in the spotlight for a long time and it’s about time we get to see it again, regardless of what might be revealed at this media event.
So, if you’ve been hankering for some updates on Naughty Dog’s next big outing, stay tuned for later this month. We’ll no doubt be covering this.
