Control’s roadmap includes two expansions

Remedy isn’t done with the physics and paranatural in Control. Remedy released a roadmap of what is to come over the next few months, from free to paid content and some of it sounds mighty enticing.

The first two updates are free: Sometime in our spring, we will see a photo mode added to the game, something that I sorely wished for while playing. Then in December, the Expeditions mode will be added. Expeditions happen at the end-game and will offer some pretty tough challenges for those who want to test their skills and reflexes.

After that, the two paid expansions arrive. The first is due out in early 2020 and is called The Foundation. This delves into the Foundation of the Oldest House itself and who knows what lurks down there in the dark, in the areas that aren’t explored and where the control points haven’t been established.

The second expansion is called AWE and we will go to the Investigations Sector to learn more about the Altered World Events that the Bureau investigates and covers up.

The art, you might notice, has a silhouette holding a flashlight in the same pose that the original Alan Wake cover art did, meaning we might learn more about the Bright Falls AWE. This event is mentioned several times during Control in research documents and I am hoping we will learn more about what happened there.

And if that doesn’t make everything feel all connected yet, here is Quantum Break also learning about AWEs and guessing to what they are.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
