New Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer shows off the slums and some summons

The Tokyo Game Show 2019 is underway, meaning some hot properties are getting new trailers. Like the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. We know that the whole game will take place in Midgar, which might have worried fans of the original hoping to see the summons that lurk outside the city walls. It appears their materia have made their way into the dystopian city because a few of the summons are shown in blink and you’ll miss it footage.

The trailer focuses on Cloud’s work with resistance group Avalanche and his trip into the slums. We get to see some mini-games in action, Aerith in her beautiful red dress and the Turks make their appearance.

The level of detail on show is breathtaking, from big spell effects to smaller things, like Cloud being turned into a frog and still having a tiny Buster sword on his back.

The first game releases on March 3, 2020 on PlayStation 4 and will span two Blu-Ray discs.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
