It’s been an insane ride for Hideo Kojima’s Hideo Kojima game made by Hideo Kojima and directed by Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding. The first mysterious trailer seems almost nostalgic now when we first got that scene of a ruined beach, Norman Reedus and a baby. The game was layered in mystique and only very recently have we gotten the opportunity to see what it’s about, even though we still have significantly more questions than answers.
However, despite all the hesitancy, Death Stranding is now officially locked in since the game has now gone gold, according to a tweet by Kojima Productions:
And that, as they say, is that. Death Stranding will face no delays and no last-minute change-ups, it’s now complete and out for print. Where this goes is entirely out of Kojima’s hands now and despite the man’s obvious ego, he can be very proud of breaking the chains of corporate servitude at Konami and making such a big production completely off the back of his own independent silly ideas.
Death Stranding releases on the 8th of November and may fortune favour the bold. This is going to be interesting.
