IGI: Origins is a return to the stealth shooter

It has been many, many years since Project IGI, but it seems the series is finally getting a chance to showcase the fun of a stealth shooter. IGI: Origins is an alternate history Cold War-era prequel to the original games, taking place in the 1980s.

Antimatter, known for making Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, is developing the game. IGI: Origins will keep the focus on stealth, with gadgets and decisive play being required to take on superior numbers without getting detected. Story will play a bigger role this time around, as an MI6 agent tries to find redemption.

Keep your head on a swivel, count the enemies and kill quickly and quietly, or you are going to have a hard time. Because sometimes the hero isn’t armoured up and ready to handle an entire base going to full alert.

The game is marked for a 2021 release and is being developed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
