After many years of being absent, Toyota is joining to roster again in Forza. Recently the only prominent showing of the Japanese car manufacturer was Gran Turismo. This is changing with the December 12 update of Forza Horizon 4.
Eurogamer spoke to Playground Games’ Ralph Futton last year about the Toyota situation. “What’s happened with Toyota over the last couple of years is we haven’t been able to reach an agreement which is unfortunate. It’s hugely unfortunate for us, because as car lovers we feel the pain that our fans feel as well. And we will continue with our conversations in that area – that’s not something we’ve given up on.”
The series 17 update of Forza Horizon 4 will add the 1998 Supra and to the game. While it is just the one Toyota for now, hopefully it is an indication of licensing issues being put to rest. Get ready to drive in December.
