My excitement for Cyberpunk 2077 is bordering on ridiculous since CD Projekt Red is probably responsible for 50% of all the joy I’ve felt in my life. It’s a game that is highly anticipated and we’ve been waiting patiently for years and years. The 16th of April release date is looming over the horizon, but there is always that nagging fear that it might be pushed back again and we’ll have to wait even longer. However, a recent fiscal report by CD Projekt Red tells us that we have nothing to be worried about.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now officially in the final stages of development and they’ve started localising the game text into other languages. This tells us that the game is probably feature complete and the next five or so months will be a lot of clean-up, localisation and admin work. The best news is that it’s now highly unlikely we’ll see any further delays which is a relief.
The rest of the video talks about CD Projekt Red’s other successes such as Gwent releasing on iOS devices and the success of The Witcher 3 on Switch. The company is also looking healthy profit-wise and they’ll be getting some new offices soon as well. Now the final long wait can begin.
