FGV winner is building Bridges – and our weekly wrap up!

Why hello there my little gaming congregation. I haven’t seen you lot for a hot minute and believe me, my heart has been aching. The end of the year is upon us and December is going to officially show itself this coming Sunday and it’s still a little crazy that 2020 is right around the corner. It’s also Black Friday today and for once I’m grateful for being a hermit because I don’t want to get caught up in any human stampedes out there for cheap TVs. Plus you can just order online you mad people.

Weekly wrap up!

The end of the year may be upon us, but we are still hard at work getting that spicy content out there. For reviews this week, I shot a lot of heads from far away in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts and Zain played with pocket-sized monsters in Pokemon Sword. I took us through the last generation and looked at five things we’ve learned and our Burning Question asked if you enjoy prequels and interquels.

Comment of the week!

Our comment of the week comes from Dawid on my five things we’ve learned from this generation feature. He’s in here because he’s a civilian now so he counts again. Plus, y’all have been quiet. Make some jokes in the comments, I need some winners!

Japan slipped my mind when I was writing that feature and what Dawid says is completely true, Most of the games on my top list for this generation came from Japan and the games coming out of the country have been incredibly ambitious. Clever ideas, interesting mechanics, wild stories and so much more. We owe a lot to Japan.

The winner!

So many people wanted to be a courier and the entries for our Death Stranding competition was through the roof. I wonder how Sam’s schedule looks on Black Friday, the poor man. Sadly we can only have one winner as you all know and that is none other than:

Rheinart Karpesteyn

Congratulations to Rheinart for winning this week’s prize! We’ll be in contact with you soon to get your prize to you. Enjoy the long walks and hug BB for us. The little guy needs some love.

Thanks to Gamefinity for sponsoring this week’s prize!

What’s happening this weekend?

If you’re ever wondering what the SA Gamer crew does on weekends, wonder no more! Here’s a little breakdown of how we’ll be spending our weekends:

Garth: This weekend involves board games, catching up on sleep and playing Darksiders Genesis, which I can finally talk about next week. [The most important thing in that plan is sleep. People, you need to respect sleep more. Says the guy who slept at 5 am and wonders why he’s seeing double.]

Charlie: This weekend, I will be celebrating the fact that Saturday finally happened after a week of Fridays. It’s been brutal. I’ll also be studying for final exam, playing some Persona 5 (more studying for exams) and my old man and I are brewing some beer as well. [Persona 5’s exams are crazy especially when they ask you to identify Japanese kanji or answer some deep history question. But since the game is Japanese, the English questions are so hilariously easy. Also, play Persona 5, it’s probably the most happiness you can get in one package.]

Marko: Death Stranding is the only game I want to play this weekend and I’ve been aching all over to just strap some boxes on my back and walk from one place to another. I have way too many other games I also want to get to, but I’m just so addicted to building bridges and getting over them.

And so the week comes to an end. Black Friday is raging outside and I can just smell the capitalism in the air. Be safe out there people and prepare yourself for December next week. The holiday season is here and it’s time to get jolly.

I am way too tall, played way too many games and I love to write about what we love about games. In the end, I'm just being #Thabolicious
