AGDQ 2020 smashes records raising money for cancer research

AGDQ 2020 is over and while that will leave my second screen with a particularly large void to fill, it does fill my heart that so many people put money towards the fight against cancer.

This year AGDQ raised over $3.1 million from 54,132 individual donations, with the average donation being $57.88. These donations will go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a US-based non-profit.

There were some great runs to watch, including last year’s big games like Devil May Cry 5, Blasphemous, Sekiro and Control. There was a run of Subnautica by salvner that showcased how quickly you could finish the game with the help of a few interesting glitches to speed things right up, as well as some wall hacks to get around.

This event broke the previous year’s record by more than $100,000. Now to wait until Summer Games Done Quick which starts on June 21. Until then I will be watching a few videos on YouTube to see what I missed.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
