Some might call it a marketing scheme, and they’re probably right, but CD Projekt Red revealing the female version of their box art is kind of a nice way to celebrate International Women’s Day.
If you are like me and have the passive perception of a rock, you probably didn’t notice the slight design changes that have gone into Miss V. In the new art she come across as a completely different character, but an almost complete mirror to her male counter-part… apart from the jazzy new hair colour, of course. Previously, she looked more like a companion than the lead to a game, so it’s nice to see CPR correct that.
The tweaks may be small in the grand scheme of things but it makes a big impact on the perception and feel of a character as a whole.
This new box art will also be reversible when the game releases on the 17th of September 2020. What I’m left wondering is how many of the cases will be shipped Miss V side up? And if they’ll be releasing a Miss V version of the collector’s edition, as well? We’ll have to wait and see!
Happy belated International Women’s Day to all my fellow human beings, by the way! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing day <3
